Hi, my name's James Hayden and I specialise in voiceovers for commercial and technical narration, audiobooks, e-learning, voice messaging and more.
I can deliver a wide variety of styles, but typically my voice is RP, rich and bright, with a sincere, friendly, articulate tone that connects well with younger people in the 20's-30's demographic.
I have a genuine passion for this work. I'm friendly and professional, so working with me is easy and ego free. No matter how large or small the job, every project I work on is important to me, and will go through various levels of quality and assurance before reaching you. I have 10+ years working in audio production, so you can be assured that I'll handle your project with the due care and attention it deserves.
I also offer an editing and mastering service. Typically any project utilising my voice will come edited, with pre-production included, unless otherwise required (If, for example, you wish to do your own in house editing/mastering). For larger jobs, such as audio books, editing will be charged as an extra.
I primarily work with a Neumann TLM103 large diaphragm, cardioid condenser microphone, with full Rycote shock mount/pop shield. I use an SPL channel one signal processor to handle pre-comp and de-essing, whilst recording into ProTools DAW.
Any EQ'ing or post compression/mastering work that needs to be done is usually completed within ProTools (as per instruction), but unless specified I'll just provide the raw file in any format you require. For a more technical rundown how much headroom I'll leave you, in terms of DB for mastering purposes, or any other tech related Q's, please contact me.
If you have any special requests re editing, compression or EQ'ing then please let me know. I have over 10 years studio experience so please take advantage of this.
I want you to be happy with the service I offer. To that end, I want you to know that I will correct any mistake I make in regards to your instructions. I'll certainly fix it at no extra cost.
But, please be careful when writing out your copy because I will read it EXACTLY as you send it to me. If you would like to change your script afterwards then you'll need to place another order.
Please give as much information about style, tone and pace as possible. This will help me to provide you with a better voiceover. Really, the more detail on what you want, the better!
Please separate your copy into paragraphs (if it's a longer script), and if there are any complex/regional pronunciations spell them phonetically for me.
